Your tasks

  • The scope of Business Unit Finance within OPGS covers the end to end delivery of transactional finance and month end closing activities, ensuring reliable, compliant, and efficient finance services globally. Strategic finance leadership and business performance accountability remain with the respective Business Units and Division Finance organizations;
  • Steer and continuously develop Business Unit Finance in alignment with GBS and Group Finance strategy, ensuring sustainable performance, business continuity, and contribution to the Group’s transformation agenda;
  • Hold full accountability for the performance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the BU Finance organization, including people leadership, service quality, cost efficiency, and operational resilience;
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance robust financial governance, policies, processes, and the Internal Control System (ICS), ensuring compliance with IFRS, legal and regulatory requirements, OMV Group policies, audit readiness, and transparency;
  • Ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable end‑to‑end finance service delivery across accounting, controlling, reporting, and related finance processes, in line with agreed service models and performance targets;
  • Drive the end to end transformation of BU Finance through standardization, simplification, and automation of processes, ensuring alignment with the GBS and Group finance transformation roadmap;
  • Act as Integration Manager for BU Finance for new companies joining the Group, ensuring seamless financial integration, scalable finance operating models, and compliance with Group standards;
  • Provide organizational leadership and operational oversight for the Finance Center of Excellence supporting the Energy Division under a landlord model, including people management, capacity planning, performance management, and compliance with OPGS standards;
  • Hold accountability for the governance, quality, and operational performance of Finance Master Data and Reporting services within BU Finance, including leadership of the dedicated master data and reporting teams, ensuring data integrity, consistency, timely availability of management and statutory reporting, and alignment with Group and Division Finance standards;
  • Act as a key finance partner to senior management, Business Units, and OPGS leadership; manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and authorities, and coordinate finance support for executive‑level and ad‑hoc initiatives;
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the BU Finance leadership team; foster a high‑performance, collaborative, and future‑ready finance organization with strong focus on talent development, succession planning, and international best‑practice exchange.

Your profile

  • Master Diploma: in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration;
  • Relevant professional experience: more than 15 years;
  • Management roles: with >10 years of leadership experience;
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Finance, with a significant portion in Business Unit Finance, GBS / SSC;
  • Professional finance qualification preferred (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent);
  • Strong grounding in IFRS and international accounting standards;
  • Proven experience leading large, multi disciplinary finance organizations (typically 300+ FTE), across multiple processes and locations);
  • Demonstrated accountability for end to end transactional finance and month end closing activities;
  • Hands on experience acting as finance integration lead for new entities, acquisitions, or organizational changes
  • Track record of driving finance transformation, including standardization, digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Fluent in English; additional languages considered an asset.
