Job Description

Role Purpose

The Operating Platform Analyst is a delivery and coordination role supporting Schroder & Co. (Asia) Limited (SCAL)’s operating platform, change initiatives, and operational resilience agenda.

The role performs local project management and business analysis activities, translating business needs into clear requirements, coordinating delivery across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Group functions, and ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively and embedded into Business-as-Usual (BAU).

The analyst maintains strong working knowledge of SCAL’s core systems and tooling and provides continuity and back‑up coverage for the local Operating Platform lead when required.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Change Management

  • Act as the local project lead and primary coordination point for operating platform, regulatory, and transformation initiatives impacting SCAL.
  • Partner with the Global Transformation team to align SCAL delivery plans with the globally agreed Wealth transformation priorities, and provide ongoing transparency of the local change agenda, progress, and interdependencies
  • Work closely with business units to identify operational challenges, capture business requirements, assess solution options, and initiate discussions with Group and local technology teams.
  • Coordinate across Business, Operations, and Technology, Risk, Compliance and Group teams to ensure timely and controlled delivery of project milestones and outcomes.
  • Ensure completed initiatives are successfully transitioned into BAU, with clear ownership, documentation, and controls in place successful.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements across multiple functions and locations.
  • Apply Wealth Management Change Management standards and best practice, including:
    • Budget tracking
    • Status reporting
    • RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management
    • Timeline governance

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Engage with business and operational teams to:
  • Capture and document business requirements
  • Translate regulatory or control requirements into operationally workable solutions
  • Review existing processes to identify efficiency, control, or resilience gaps and propose pragmatic improvements.
  • Produce clear documentation, including:
    • Business requirement documents
    • Process maps
    • Impact assessments
    • Implementation summaries for governance forums
  • Support management decision‑making by providing structured analysis and options, rather than technology‑focused recommendations.

Technology Coordination & Operational Support

  • Coordinate, implement, monitor, and support analysis of the core banking platform function like constraints. 
  • Prepare periodic management information and metrics for internal governance forums (e.g. Risk Committee).
  • Implement and maintain core banking platform configuration) e.g. fee codes, benchmarks, product risk ratings) and support change requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved user requirements.
  • Support the rollout of new technology tools and automation solutions and assist in the development of technology enabled management and operational reports (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Coordinate desktop services, including user access management and IT service requests and maintain the SCAL intranet 

Outsourcing & Third Party Risk Oversight

  • Provide local support to service and business owners for outsourced technology and operational services.
  • Coordinate the review and assess audit reports, risk assessment and service performance against KPIs and SLAs relating to outsourced activities.
  • Ensure provisioned services remain in compliance with MAS TRM Notice and Outsourcing Guidelines, including cloud computing and cyber security arrangements.
  • Conduct initial and periodic risk assessments and due diligence on outsourced service providers, identifying and escalating emerging risks and control gaps.

Business Continuity & Operational Resilience

  • Ensure regular updates and maintenance of SCAL Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related procedures.
  • Coordinate and participate in local and Group Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) exercises, including planning, execution, and post exercise remediation.
  • Support Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and ongoing BCM governance to ensure operational resilience expectations are met.
