Job Description
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and Communications, the Head of Marketing & Communications, Asia is accountable for setting and delivering the integrated marketing and communications strategy for Schroders Wealth in Asia, with primary emphasis on Singapore.
This role is responsible for strengthening brand and proposition awareness, supporting client acquisition and engagement, and protecting and enhancing Schroders Wealth’s reputation through high-quality marketing, PR, media, events, and internal/external communications.
The role leads end-to-end execution across owned, earned, and paid channels, spanning strategy, planning, delivery, measurement, and optimisation, while operating within Schroders Wealth brand standards and internal governance. All activity must be executed in line with applicable regulatory and conduct expectations (e.g., MAS and HK SFC as relevant), including clear, fair, and not misleading communications, appropriate audience targeting, record-keeping, and data/privacy requirements.
This role requires strong stakeholder management across Wealth leadership, relationship management/client-facing teams, investment experts, compliance/legal/risk, and external agencies. Strong communication and project management skills are essential to deliver multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining quality and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Set the regional marketing and communications strategy for Schroders Wealth Asia with a primary focus on Singapore, aligned to business priorities, target segments, and proposition goals.
- Translate strategy into integrated marketing plans and channel plans, coordinating activity across business stakeholders and ensuring appropriate localisation while protecting brand consistency
- Serve as marketing & communications advisor to Wealth leadership; shape messaging and activity for key business initiatives.
Integrated Marketing, Content & Channels
- Lead end-to-end delivery of integrated marketing initiatives (campaigns, proposition messaging, thought leadership amplification, client engagement programs), from concept through execution and post-activity evaluation.
- Oversee creation, localisation, and upkeep of core marketing materials (e.g., presentations, brochures, articles, videos, social assets, EDMs, landing pages), ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and channel/audience fit
- Own day-to-day digital amplification across owned and paid channels (e.g., paid social, search/PPC, retargeting where permitted), including agency management (where applicable), targeting, creative/copy oversight, performance optimization, and KPI reporting.
- Lead effective use and optimisation of marketing automation tools and email journeys; coordinate Wealth Asia web content updates where applicable.
Communications, PR/Media, Events & Reputation
- Develop and execute PR and media strategy to raise the profile of Schroders Wealth in Singapore and across Asia as required; manage proactive and reactive media activity and spokesperson support.
- Lead external and internal communications to drive impact for key initiatives, ensuring consistency of narrative and appropriate escalation for sensitive issues.
- Accountable for strategy and delivery of client/prospect events and seminars, including content planning, vendor management, logistics oversight, audience targeting (in line with governance), and post-event amplification.
Governance, Risk Controls, Budget & Performance Management
- Ensure all marketing and communications activity follows Schroders governance and approvals processes (Compliance/Legal/Risk), including appropriate disclaimers, documentation, distribution controls, record-keeping, and data/privacy requirements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Compliance/Legal/Risk to ensure communications are clear, fair, not misleading, and aligned to relevant local expectations (e.g., MAS and HK SFC as relevant).
- Own and manage the Wealth Asia marketing budget (forecasting, spend tracking, supplier costs) and manage agencies/suppliers to ensure quality, timelines, and value for money.
- Measure effectiveness of activity, consolidate insights, and recommend improvements to strengthen outcomes and ROI.
