Job Description

Duties Responsibilities Website Projects • Manage development, coordination and approvals for regular website projects. • Consult with Office of the Provost stakeholders to maintain awareness of critical and emerging issues and projects. • Ensure pieces maintain and strengthen the Illinois brand standards. • Manage and track a digital calendar of website projects for the Office of the Provost. • Audit current website activities and determine what should continue and what should sunset. • Participate in the Illinois Web Implementation Guidelines Group (WIGG) and the IT Accessibility Liaison Program (ITAL) as the technical representative for the Office of the Provost. • Cultivate and maintain relationships with campus web developer community, representing the Office of the Provost. Assist Director of Communications for the Office of the Provost with Office of the Provost communications project intake and strategy for website portions. • Take guidance about project planning and priorities from the Executive Vice Provost. • Lead website strategy and production for Office of the Provost projects. • Translate UI and UX designs to solutions that are both responsive and accessible, balancing user’s needs with business and development requirements, and working with StratCom designers as needed. • Employ best-practice web standards in the development of front-end code that is compliant, accessible, and usable to audiences across many devices. • User-test all new releases to our services. Website Content Edits • Work closely with Office of the Provost stakeholders for any website-related content changes.
