Your role and responsibilities
As a member of the Support and Develop Sales Agile Team, the Market Developer (MD) will be a key contributor to the success of the Industry & Control Agile Unit. The role focuses on defining and implementing marketing and sales strategies for Industry and Machinery Control applications, as well as Safety Solutions, across selected European countries in close coordination with Local Sales teams.
Additionally, the MD will analyze market trends and customer requirements in specific segments, particularly Rolling Stock and Electric Vehicles, to understand customer needs and develop comprehensive solution approaches for the key markets.
Reporting to the Market Development Management Chapter Leader, the MD strong technical and market knowledge will assist in implementing sales initiatives and reaching the assigned targets.
Location: Europe, preferably Bergamo-Italy or Heidelberg-Germany
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Guarantee the achievement of year end targets for Industry and Control AU and Control portfolio in terms of OR, Rev, E2E margin and NPV.
- Manage the complete Control portfolio to make sure its proper market positioning and proper handling of dedicated offers.
- Working closely with customers and LSUs (Local Sales Units) in Industry, Machinery Control and Safety applications, analyzing and understanding market trends and customer requirements in specific segments (in Rolling stock and Electric Vehicles) and their needs in terms of a comprehensive Solution
- Identify new business opportunities and create business cases for Solutions, in terms of both offering and channel to market.
- Establish and maintain close dialogue with customer base and key prospects for the purpose of recommending novel technical solutions.
- Identifies strategic partnership opportunities with local and global players.
- Collaborate with all related internal contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of initiatives.
- Support solutions marketing launch development plans and ensure efficient and effective execution together with the Local Sales Units.
- Participate in internal work groups to share know-how, processes, and market information.
Qualifications for the role:
- A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a solid technical background in electrical systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in a global business environment, in Sales & Marketing in the field of low voltage systems and products. Experience in Motor Starting and Safety products is a must.
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Excellent skills in teamworking and communication, negotiation, and leadership attitude.
- High analytical orientation, together with a strong customer-focused
- mindset and willpower that contribute to our future success.
- Availability for business travel (approximately 30%).
- Previous experience working in an Agile / Scrum oriented workforce is a plus.
