The role of Plant Engineer is based in our Exterior and Lighting Business Group in Lozorno, Slovakia.
Responsibilities:
- Create and coordinate work instructions (including managing temporary staff or creating them independently for junior profiles)
- Design manufacturing layouts and equipment placement
- Define end-to-end process flow across production (injection, paint, assembly, bonding)
- Provide administrative and technical support for new project launches (logistics, capacity, space planning)
- Organize and validate new workstations and equipment in cooperation with Quality and Maintenance
- Plan and execute production trials in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Participate in equipment handover, including training for operators and maintenance teams
- Contribute to FMEA, feasibility studies, and creation of equipment and packaging specifications
- Validate equipment compliance with internal standards and legal requirements
- Support continuous improvement of manufacturing performance (productivity, quality, safety)
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
- Experience in manufacturing processes (automotive preferred, injection/paint/assembly is a plus)
- Knowledge of engineering methodologies (FMEA, feasibility studies)
- Understanding of process flow design and production layout
- Familiarity with standards such as IATF 16949 is a plus
- Slovak/Czech and English on at least intermediate level
- Experience with AutoCAD or Catia is an advantage
- Structured, proactive, and independent working style
- Strong team player with good cross-functional communication skills
- Willingness to support projects from launch through production stabilization
