Job Description
The Tender and Solutions Specialist is responsible for managing and driving tender and sales activities for a strategic client, with the objective of developing competitive, solution-oriented logistics concepts and securing new business opportunities. The role acts as a key interface between the client, commercial teams, and operational stakeholders, ensuring that proposals are both commercially attractive and operationally feasible. Key Responsibilities: Manage and drive participation in client tenders (RFI, RFQ, ITT) with a proactive, opportunity-driven approach Act as the main point of contact for the client during the tender phase Develop tailored, solution-oriented logistics concepts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and GWRE specialists Plan and execute tender strategies, focusing on value creation and differentiation Prepare technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project challenges Ensure all tender submissions are complete, competitive, and delivered on time Support bid presentations and contribute to negotiation processes Identify, assess, and manage commercial and contractual risks in collaboration with Legal, QHSE, Contract, and Insurance teams Coordinate the preparation of RFQs/RFIs for subcontractors and negotiate competitive solutions Evaluate subcontractor bids and ensure alignment with project and solution strategy Collaborate closely with operations and global teams to ensure solutions are realistic and executable Ensure alignment between commercial proposals and operational delivery Incorporate feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve tender performance Maintain strong client engagement before, during, and after the tender process Contribute to the development and positioning of new logistics solutions based on market and client needs Ensure effective cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing of best practices Track and report sales activities, pipeline development, and tender outcomes
