IT Support & Systems Administrator
Job Description
Hendricks Power Cooperative is now accepting applications for an IT Support & Systems Administrator to join our technology team in Avon, Indiana. Hendricks Power is a rural electric cooperative distributing electric service to members across four counties in west-central Indiana.
Primary Responsibilities:
The IT Support & Systems Administrator plays an important role in supporting employees, maintaining technology systems and helping ensure reliable and secure operations across the Cooperative. This position provides day-to-day technical assistance, setup, troubleshooting and support for technology equipment and software across all departments; administers and secures cloud-based services and resources; maintains system documentation, technology inventory records and technical procedures; assists with disaster recovery and business continuity efforts; supports cybersecurity initiatives through monitoring, employee awareness and security best practices; and participates in technology upgrades, implementations and process improvements. This position requires occasional IT incident response after business hours.
Preferred candidates will possess the qualifications listed below.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience providing PC, network and end-user support.
- 3+ years of experience administering Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Intune and Entra.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, monitoring or security best practices preferred.
- Demonstrated experience delivering positive customer service and technical support.

- Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, carry, move up to 30 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Advanced proficiency and acumen with technology hardware and software.
The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving, providing excellent customer service and working with a variety of technologies including cloud systems, end-user devices and cybersecurity tools. Standard office hours are 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
