In This Role, You Will:
- Lead patient safety and risk management initiatives that improve outcomes and reduce harm across the organization.
- Oversee the hospital’s event reporting system and coordinate timely investigations of patient safety events and incidents.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), Apparent Cause Analyses (ACAs), and patient safety reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and monitor corrective action plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and hospital leadership.
- Analyze trends and data to identify risks, improve processes, and support high-reliability practices.
- Manage the hospital’s policy management system to ensure policies remain current, compliant, and aligned with regulatory standards.
- Educate and support staff on patient safety principles, incident reporting, and risk prevention strategies.
- Partner with leaders across departments to promote transparency, accountability, and a strong culture of safety.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related healthcare field preferred.
- Current Texas RN license required if clinically licensed.
- CPHRM and/or CPPS certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in patient safety, risk management, quality improvement, or clinical healthcare preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission standards, and healthcare risk management principles.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and drive positive organizational change.
