Job Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize warehouse layouts focusing on the strategic placement and integration of material
handling equipment such as PIVs, AMRs, Turrets, and AS/RS systems.
Design storage solutions and material flow paths that maximize space utilization and minimize handling time.
Maintain and update PFEP data for all parts, including part numbers, packaging, storage locations, reorder points,
and supplier details.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure PFEP accuracy, supporting efficient part delivery, inventory management, and equipment layout planning.
Analyze current warehouse processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements through equipment upgrades or reconfiguration.
Support the selection, installation, and commissioning of material handling systems, ensuring compatibility with warehouse layout and operational needs.
Work with automation vendors and internal teams to integrate material handling equipment with existing systems, including WMS and PFEP data.
Implement lean principles, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping, to reduce waste and improve material flow efficiency.
Use data analysis to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions involving equipment layout adjustments and PFEP improvements.
Ensure all material handling equipment layouts and PFEP practices comply with safety standards (OSHA, ISO).
Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions related to equipment placement and operation.
Maintain accurate PFEP data to support continuous improvement and justify equipment investments.
Who we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in warehouse design, material handling, or logistics engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong expertise in designing material handling equipment layouts and managing PFEP data.
Proficiency with layout software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and warehouse automation tools.
Your preferred qualifications:
Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Engineering.
Experience with warehouse automation, robotics, and advanced material handling systems.
Knowledge of PFEP, lean tools, and safety standards (OSHA, ISO).
