Your Role on Our Team: 

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility and cell equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks. This role involves contributing to team efforts through participation in projects and assisting with coworker training as needed. Key responsibilities include managing multiple assignments, completing PM tasks on time, practicing effective time management, coordinating with operations, collaborating with engineering, identifying and communicating machine issues, documenting project completions, maintaining a clean workspace, learning new processes, and proactively seeking opportunities for improvement. 

 

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: 

  • Perform complex preventative maintenance on equipment, including chemical tank cleaning and chemical adds, intensive machine rebuilding, and/or tool & die repair. 

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and proficient in teaching other maintenance technicians and operations personnel on technical processes. 

  • Diagnose and resolve complex production and maintenance challenges, including repairing or modifying equipment by addressing wiring/electrical problems, automation/control system issues, and pneumatic or hydraulic malfunctions. 

  • Utilize computer systems to log maintenance work orders, manage spare parts, and update preventative maintenance schedules. 

  • Identify potential equipment failures and initiate corrective actions to prevent downtime. 

  • Perform or coordinate complex fabrication work. 

  • Ensure effective communication with shift and plant-wide personnel to maintain operational continuity. 

  • Root cause complex broken fixtures and operations tools, ensuring functionality and safety. 

  • Develop plans through collaboration to relocate equipment as needed to support production and operational changes. 

  • Ensure replacement parts are ordered for equipment repairs or upgrades. 

  • Adhere to all workplace safety requirements and practice 6S and lean manufacturing principles. 

  • Work collaboratively to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems. 

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions. 

 

 

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you: 

  • Tech School classes are preferred 

  • Experience in industrial, preventive and/or facility maintenance 

  • Experience in identify and troubleshooting common maintenance issues 

  • Valid drivers license  

  • 10+ years in the industry 

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills in MS Office and ERP systems 

 

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have: 

  • Journeyman electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems experience  

  • Tool & die repair experience 

  • Welding & Fabrication experience 

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment: 

  • The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus 

  • Prolonged standing of eight or more hours a day 

  • Frequent walking 

  • Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, and reaching 

  • Employees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells
