Employment Type: Hybrid
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Assurance Field Engineer with a strong background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Operations to join our established team supporting aerospace suppliers across Europe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that supplier-manufactured aero-engine components are delivered on time to support engine build schedules and aftermarket spares requirements. This role requires the ability to assess supplier performance, identify capacity constraints and production bottlenecks, and develop effective mitigation and recovery plans to improve delivery performance.
This is a highly collaborative position that combines elements of supplier development, production planning, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain management. Candidates must be fluent in English, hold a full UK driving licence, and be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide supply chain management and production planning support to OEM facilities and suppliers across Europe, with a primary focus on the UK.
• Drive supplier performance improvements to ensure delivery commitments are achieved and customer requirements are met.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including supplier management, engineering, procurement, operations, and programme management teams.
• Conduct regular supplier site visits and Gemba walks to assess production status, identify risks, and gather operational data.
• Monitor ERP/MRP systems, production schedules, work-in-progress (WIP), and non-conformances against delivery commitments.
• Review and validate delivery forecasts and recovery plans where schedule risks exist.
• Identify production bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and process inefficiencies; perform gap analyses and develop corrective action plans.
• Track and manage action plans through to successful implementation and closure.
• Analyse operational and performance data to support KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present clear, concise reports and updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Supplier Development and Quality teams to identify and implement improvement projects.
• Develop a detailed understanding of supplier products, manufacturing processes, and operational challenges.
We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questions are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.
We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds.
