Position Summary
The Teacher’s Assistant (ASP) assists teaching staff in carrying out Afterschool Program activities, helps to maintain a positive and supportive environment, and is responsible for supervising the children and youth in classrooms, halls, school yards, etc., and enforcing all FYCC policies and procedures. The Teacher’s Assistant will ‘float’ from room to room to provide teaching assistance as needed. The Teacher’s Assistant is responsible for complying with, and ensuring compliance with DCYF (Department of Children, Youth and Families), CA Community Care Licensing, Department of Social Services requirements. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule (some evenings); regular and predictable attendance is essential.
The TA is required to accompany program participants to off-site locations and to participate in indoor and outdoor activities and field trips.
Expected to start June 15th.

Work Environment
GLIDE’s buildings are located in the Tenderloin neighborhood. GLIDE maintains an "open door" policy to the community and its clients, who frequently enter and leave the building.
