Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Produce bulk with the use of a multiple phase batch making process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Stay current with multiple phase batch making processes.
Produce batches using a Batch Master Record System.
Record all production data on batch records inclusive of raw materials used, quantities and time intervals.
Review all raw materials prior to beginning a production batch to ensure all materials are in accordance with the prescribed batch sheet.
Carefully follow all production procedures and guidelines to ensure accurate measurements and mixing requirements.
Mix and blend all chemicals according to formulae using manufacturing equipment provided.
Clean and sanitize equipment as per SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
Follow all required SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) with relation to general housekeeping of the manufacturing area.
Maintain adherence to cGMP’s (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for the cosmetic industry.
Employees must always adhere to required safety precautions and wear the assigned PPE (personal protection equipment) as required.
Must maintain logbooks and batch records according to company cGMP and GDP policies.
Must have the ability to utilize the inventory management system and RF Scanner to issue raw materials to shop orders.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Possess knowledge of proper use of weight scales
Individuals must be able to operate manufacturing equipment such as but not limited to mixers, blenders and industrial equipment such as drum movement equipment and forklifts. Forklift certification required.
Must be familiar with Batch Coding System of Manufacturing
Knowledge of use of radio frequency devices (RF scanners).
Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative
Scientific Math Aptitude/Strong Analytical Skills
Detail oriented with impeccable organizational skills.
Has basic working knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
Ability to work independently, self motivated
Ability to read, understand and follow given recommendation of SDS sheets (Safety Data Sheets).

Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school or equivalent GED
This position is classified non-exempt.
