We are looking for a talented and motivated Bio Process Engineer Troubleshooting Manager to join our Belgium Biomanufacturing Operations Center in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role :

You will play a key role in delivering complex projects within a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will lead process and equipment improvement initiatives, solve technical challenges across manufacturing, engineering, automation and digital systems, and contribute to operational excellence. You will also manage engineers’ teams and project teams to ensure successful objective delivery while driving innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

 

Who you’ll work with :

You will be working in a multidisciplinary team that partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, automation, digital technology, quality, and external suppliers. Together, you will support critical manufacturing operations, deliver strategic improvement projects, and solve complex technical challenges that contribute to the production of innovative medicines. What you’ll do :

  • Lead a team of Process Engineer or ad hoc member to achieve objectives.
  • Lead complex process and equipment improvement projects from planning through execution and implementation.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, resource strategies, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Investigate and resolve complex manufacturing, engineering, and automation-related issues.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance.
  • Support production activities and contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

 

Interested ? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioprocessing, or a related scientific field.
  • Strong knowledge of biomanufacturing processes, process optimization, and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Significant experience in engineering and/or automation and/or operation and/or manufacturing science and technology
  • Proven project management experience, including planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical challenges and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and French.
