The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest customer service assistant in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our Mobile Sources E-Check Field Office in Summit County.

As DAPC’s newest customer service assistant, you will provide customer service support for the division’s Mobile Sources program. You are going to answer the telephone and provide basic/routine information to internal and external customers in response to inquiries, requests, or complaints received in writing or by phone.
You will operate a personal computer to input, update, correct, and send data related to inquiries and general reports. You will also obtain customer demographic information, concerns, and clarification of expectations by interviewing customers and uploading that information into a customer service database.
As a customer service assistant, you will perform office support tasks like distributing mail and documents, filing, faxing, proofreading, and preparing purchase orders.

3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures; AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people; AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing; AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer.
OR equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above. Note: in the telecommunications section, within the Ohio Department of Public Safety, employees will automatically be reassigned to the Customer Services Assistant 2, 64432 classification after serving 6 months as a Customer Service Assistant 1, 64431.
