FCCPS SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN

General Responsibilities:
Performs custodial work in the care and cleaning of school buildings, ensuring safe, clean, and orderly conditions.  Requires cleaning school building interiors and maintaining school grounds.

Education and Experience:

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade.

Physical Requirements:

• Is heavy work, requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Requires climbing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions.
• Requires vocal communication for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
• Requires hearing to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
• Subjects the worker to inside and outside environmental conditions, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils.
• Possibly exposes the worker to blood borne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
