Dennis had just opened his first Taco Bell restaurant in Tualatin, Oregon. Tom had begun his Taco Bell career years before as a fry cook and, at the time, held the position of Franchise Consultant with Taco Bell Corporation working with franchisees like Dennis.

Tom was passionate about Taco Bell and wanted to become a franchisee, so they agreed to work together on building a franchise.

Since that first restaurant, the company has grown to more than 270 Taco Bell restaurants operating in several States and has a view toward continued growth. Yum! Brands, Inc. owns Taco Bell Corporation, along with its sister companies KFC, Pizza Hut, and A&W.
