Consultant for Regional Migration Pathways Mapping Consultant in the Middle East & North Africa
Job Description
This consultancy, led by IOM’s Regional Data Hub in MENA, aims to address the absence of a comprehensive, region-wide understanding of regular migration pathways despite the region’s significant migration volumes and complexity. The assignment will develop a structured, multi-country inventory and database of migration instruments across 18 countries, assessing their scope, implementation, and data systems through desk research and stakeholder consultations. By analyzing pathway types—including labour, education, family reunification, and protection—and evaluating data quality and gaps, the study will produce a regional analytical report, corridor fact sheets, and a policy brief. Ultimately, it seeks to generate evidence-based recommendations to strengthen regular migration pathways, improve data systems, and support more coherent, protection-sensitive migration governance in line with global and IOM strategic priorities.
