Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented QA/QC Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership and management direction for the quality function on a major iconic metro station project, ensuring that all products and services are delivered in accordance with customer and Parsons Quality requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide management direction for the practice of quality on a major metro station project.
Lead the development and implementation of project Quality Systems, Quality Plans, Quality Manuals, procedures, audits, corrective actions, and related activities.
Manage and provide directions to quality professionals assigned to the project.
Establish project audit schedules, conduct audits, and facilitate corrective actions.
Perform independent audits and ensure compliance with QA/QC programs.
Review documents, witness audited activities, prepare checklists, perform audits, and prepare final reports.
Analyze audit findings to determine project quality performance and identify trends.
Promote a uniform Corrective Action/Preventive Action and Non-Conformance tracking program.
Ensure compliance with Parsons’ and Client quality requirements.
Review quality manuals, procedures, technical deliverables, test plans, purchase orders, subcontracts, and inspection documentation.
Provide quality oversight for civil, structural, architectural, MEP, systems, finishes, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Coordinate quality activities with project management, engineering, construction, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Provide Quality Systems support using the Parsons Quality Management System.
Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and quality performance discussions, as required.
Provide technical guidance to lower-level quality personnel.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business, Quality discipline, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 12 years of work experience in Quality, QA/QC, construction quality, or related field.
Experience in supervisory, management, or lead capacity.
Experience on major transportation infrastructure, metro, rail, transit station, or complex building projects.
Strong leadership and supervisory ability.
Expert knowledge of Quality Management practices, processes, and current technology.
Thorough experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000 and similar organizations.
Expert knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems Standards.
Clear communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Effective written, verbal, analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to direct and manage staff and day-to-day quality activities.
Strong attention to detail.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
Certified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
Other related certification(s), such as CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE.
Professional Engineer/Architect registration
Experience working with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and government agencies.
Regional experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East would be an advantage.
