[What the role is]
The College Philanthropy Unit of the Singapore College of Islamic Studies is seeking a dedicated and strategic Manager, Stewardship. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in stewarding donors of the College.Reporting to the Assistant Director of the College Philanthropy Unit, the Manager, Stewardship will support the Assistant Director in designing and executing donor stewardship strategies across the College, ensuring that donors at all levels feel valued, informed, and meaningfully connected to the impact of their giving. This role develops stewardship frameworks, oversees recognition programmes, and works closely with fundraisers, leadership, and volunteers to deliver high-quality donor experiences that build trust and long-term engagement.
The incumbent should be a strong communicator and project manager, capable of crafting compelling impact narratives, designing stewardship journeys, and upholding excellence in donor relations.
[What you will be working on]
1. Stewardship Strategy & Framework
Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy to enhance donor retention and long‑term loyalty.
Design tailored stewardship journeys for principal donors, major donors, and annual donors.
Establish standards, processes, and templates to ensure consistent stewardship across the organisation.
2. Donor Recognition & Impact Reporting
Oversee the production of donor impact reports, including endowed fund reports, annual stewardship reports, and project‑specific updates.
Manage donor recognition initiatives, including donor walls, naming opportunities, digital recognition, and special acknowledgements.
Partner with finance, academic units, and project teams to gather accurate information on fund utilisation and impact.
3. Events & Engagement
Lead the planning and execution of stewardship events such as appreciation ceremonies, recognition receptions, milestone celebrations, and personalised donor visits.
Work with Marketing teams to ensure experiences are meaningful, personalised, and aligned with donor expectations.
4. Content Development & Communications
Craft compelling stewardship content such as donor letters, impact stories, case updates, and targeted acknowledgements.
Ensure stewardship materials reflect the institution’s tone, brand, and strategic priorities.
5. Data, Reporting & Governance
Ensure accurate documentation of stewardship activities in the Donor Management System.
Track stewardship deliverables, monitor deadlines, and produce regular reports for senior leadership.
Maintain compliance with gift agreements, financial reporting standards, and donor intent.
6. Leadership & Collaboration
Partner closely with fundraisers to align stewardship with donor cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Provide stewardship counsel to senior leaders, faculty, and key stakeholders.
[What we are looking for]
Tertiary education required.
At least 6 years of experience in donor stewardship, fundraising, communications, or related fields.
A track record in donor relations, stewardship reporting, or relationship management will be an advantage.
Strong writing and storytelling ability with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience in producing donor reports, recognition materials, or impact narratives.
Familiarity with CRM systems and data management practices.
Successful candidate will be appointed on a contract basis.
