Group Chemicals Product Development Expert
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a Group Chemicals Product Development Expert to support the management and development of our chemicals product portfolio at group level.
This role focuses on driving product development and improvement initiatives, and acting as a key link between R&D, technology and market/customer needs. You will contribute to shaping product strategy while working closely with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of the chemicals product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market demand while balancing production efficiency and complexity
Contribute to cross-functional Product Business Teams through analytical work and by leading sub-projects within broader improvement initiatives
Mature product development ideas in collaboration with:
R&D
Sales (pricing and positioning)
Support R&D portfolio planning to maintain an optimal balance between short- and long-term projects
Lead expert teams in product development-related decision-making and track KPIs
Actively contribute to long-term chemicals strategy through participation in development projects and knowledge sharing
Maintain and improve product development databases and dashboards
Track project progress, evaluate KPIs, and coordinate cross-functional collaboration among expert team members
What We’re Looking For:
🎓 Education
University degree in a scientific discipline or in economics
🌍 Experience
Minimum 2 years of international experience
Proven experience with relevant products (e.g., Polypropylene, Polyethylene)
💼 Professional Competencies
Product management
Sales and production understanding
🧠 Skills
Strong analytical mindset
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively across functions and stakeholders
🗣️ Languages
Advanced English (mandatory)
💻 IT Skills
MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
