Location: Uvalde Memorial Hospital – Uvalde, Texas
Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Schedule: Rotating Hours and Rotating Days (Includes weekends and holiday as needed)

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare hot meals, cold items, baked goods, and therapeutic diet options using UMH-standard recipes
• Ensure meals are plated correctly and delivered on time to patients, staff, and visitors
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety throughout kitchen operations
• Follow HACCP procedures and assist with temperature logs, sanitation, and inventory
• Collaborate with dietitians and kitchen staff to meet modified diet needs
• Support catering for events and assist with deliveries as needed

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience: Previous experience in healthcare or institutional food prep preferred
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certification: Food Handler’s Certification (required)
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities, a team mindset, and excellent customer service
• Physical Requirements: Able to stand for long periods, lift occasionally, and work efficiently in a busy kitchen
