Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, trim, bond, assemble and repair composite components to the highest standards of quality, accuracy and repeatability in line with engineering definitions, process specifications and programme timing requirements.
- Work within controlled manufacturing environments while following approved manufacturing processes, work instructions and quality standards to ensure consistent Right First Time performance and full process compliance.
- Accurately interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, manufacturing instructions and assembly specifications to ensure components are produced to exact requirements.
- Utilise materials, consumables, measuring equipment, fixtures, hand tools and production equipment accurately and responsibly while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Accurately record labour, material usage, process data, non-conformances and manufacturing information within ERP/MRP systems to maintain full traceability and operational visibility.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to achieve demanding programme targets and operational objectives.
- Identify, escalate and support resolution of quality, process, tooling or equipment concerns that may impact safety, delivery or product performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, process repeatability, product quality and waste reduction.
- Maintain a proactive, positive and team-focused approach within a high-performance manufacturing culture.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous experience within composite manufacturing, laminating, trimming, bonding, assembly or repair in a high-performance manufacturing environment such as motorsport, aerospace or automotive.
- Strong understanding of composite manufacturing processes, materials, engineering specifications and controlled manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation and manufacturing specifications.
- Experience using measuring equipment, hand tools, fixtures and production equipment with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Understanding of quality standards, process compliance and manufacturing traceability requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and support resolution of manufacturing or quality issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work to the highest standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
