DevOps Engineer
Job Description
Role Summary
Senior DevOps engineer responsible for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational reliability for a distributed application stack.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, security scanning, and deployments
· Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation or equivalent)
· Implement standard pipeline templates and reusable modules to improve consistency and velocity
· Establish observability: logs, metrics, alerts, and synthetic checks for critical endpoints
· Support environment stability: secrets management, access control, configuration management
· Drive operational excellence: incident response support, RCA, and continuous improvement
· Optimise cloud cost and performance through rightsizing, lifecycle policies, and automation
Must-have Skills & Experience
· 6–10 years in DevOps / SRE / Cloud engineering roles
· Strong CI/CD experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent)
· Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)
· Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform/CloudFormation)
· Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) and operational troubleshooting
Good-to-have / Bonus
· Kubernetes and container orchestration experience
· Experience implementing security guardrails and compliance checks in pipelines
· Experience with vulnerability scanning and SBOM/artefact promotion practices
Experience supporting real-time/high-availability systems
