Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

TechnoMile is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the testing practice across TechnoMile's React-based Growth and Contracts platform and our SIMS product suite. This is a player-coach role: you will lead and grow a distributed QA team in India spanning both product lines, while remaining hands-on with automation strategy, toolchain execution, and day-to-day quality operations. 

You will drive the day-to-day execution of TechnoMile's automation-first, AI-augmented quality engineering practice across both organizations. This includes both AI-assisted QA workflows and dedicated testing of AI-embedded features within our applications - validating model outputs, AI-driven recommendations, and intelligent automation components as first-class testing concerns. You will operate as the primary quality owner for the India team, coordinating tightly with India-based Engineering, U.S.-based Engineering leadership, DevOps, and Product to align testing priorities with release goals and organizational quality targets. 

The ideal candidate blends leadership, automation expertise and data-driven insight - establishing a testing culture centered on transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

What You’ll Do

Leadership & QA Strategy

• Own the day-to-day execution roadmap for testing across the TechnoMile platform and SIMS product suite, operating within the broader Quality Engineering vision set by the Head of Quality Engineering. 
• Lead, mentor, and grow a unified QA team in India through a significant automation and toolchain transformation spanning both product lines. 
• Establish risk-based testing practices, coverage strategies, and measurable quality success criteria. 
• Serve as the primary India-side quality point of contact for U.S. stakeholders across Engineering, Product and DevOps. 
• Coordinate sprint planning, test cycles, and release readiness across time zones with minimal friction. 

Toolchain and Automation 

• Lead development and maintenance of the Playwright-based UI automation framework across TechnoMile and SIMS web applications. 
• Own API automation using Newman/Postman CLI and component-level coverage using React Testing Library. 
• Oversee Windows desktop application testing for SIMS using WinAppDriver and Pytest. 
• Administer TestRail as the single source of truth for test cases, execution results, and traceability across both product lines. 
• Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins pipelines and maintain Azure DevOps/Jira work item linkage. 
• Enforce automation best practices: page object model architecture, reusable fixtures, data-driven design, and stable selector strategies. 

AI-Assisted QA & Testing AI –Embedded Features 

• Apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test case generation, coverage gap analysis, and defect pattern identification across both product lines. 
• Own the test strategy for AI-embedded features within TechnoMile and SIMS applications - including output validation, non-determinism handling, confidence threshold testing, and model regression strategies. 
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define acceptance criteria for AI outputs before testing begins. 
• Maintain human-in-the-loop validation for all AI-generated test artifacts. 
• Contribute to TechnoMile's broader AI quality strategy as the practice matures. 

Metrics, Reporting, & Continuous Improvement 

• Define, track, and report on quality KPIs across both product lines: Automated Test Coverage %, Production Defect Escape Rate, Regression Cycle Duration, Story-to-Test Traceability %, and Release Stability Index. 
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards surfacing test health, defect trends, and release readiness signals. 
• Lead post-release quality reviews, root cause analysis on escapes, and continuous improvement initiatives across both engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in QA or software testing, including at least 4 years in a QA leadership or management role. 
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or equivalent modern UI automation framework. 
• Demonstrated experience with test management platforms; TestRail is strongly preferred. 
• Solid understanding of CI/CD integration for automated testing, particularly Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps. 
• Experience testing modern React applications and REST API integrations. 
• Proven track record leading a team through a manual-to-automation transformation. 
• Experience managing distributed QA teams collaborating with U.S. stakeholders across time zones. 
• Ability to manage quality operations across multiple concurrent product lines. 

Preferred

• Ability to read, review, and maintain automation code. 
• Experience testing AI-embedded features including output validation, non-determinism handling, and model regression strategies. 
• Experience with AI-assisted test generation or LLM-based QA workflows. 
• Familiarity with Power BI or equivalent dashboarding tools. 
• Experience in SaaS or enterprise software, particularly GovCon, contract management, or CRM systems. 
• ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification.
