Overview

The Manager, Marketing leads Patelco’s content, brand, and PR efforts and oversees a team responsible for design, social media, and community impact. Partnering closely with the SVP, Marketing, this role shapes and delivers integrated marketing strategies across owned, paid, and earned channels to strengthen member engagement and retention, drive brand awareness, and elevate Patelco’s brandThe Manager, Marketing is a key cross-functional partner to internal stakeholders and external agency partners, including owning Patelco’s reputation management program and supporting issues management and crisis communications as needed. 


Responsibilities

  • Own and steward the Patelco brand across channels, ensuring brand strategy, identity, voice, and visual standards are consistently applied; partner with cross-functional leaders to protect and evolve the brand in alignment with business priorities 
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year brand roadmap (positioning, messaging, identity, and key initiatives) to align stakeholders, prioritize investments, and drive consistent, differentiated experiences that build brand equity and awareness 
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to lead the development and implementation of an integrated, multi-channel brand marketing strategy and plan -- including the measurement and optimization of marketing efforts -- for one or more complex business segments 
  • Lead PR efforts in partnership with PR agency, including executing PR thought leadership strategy and crisis communications as needed 
  • Directly manage and coach direct reports to deliver excellence and contribute to strong company culture; set goals/KPIs, provide feedback, and ensure strong workflow, resourcing, and quality control. 
  • Develop and deliver content that drives member engagement and deepens relationships. Provide governance across channels to ensure alignment with brand. 
  • Establish and maintain enterprise brand standards, governance, and approval processes; enable lines of business and branch teams through guidelines, tools, and training to ensure consistent brand execution 
  • Partner with Compliance and Risk Management to ensure marketing strategies, campaigns, and materials adhere to regulatory requirements and internal controls; maintain effective review/approval processes and documentation 
  • Own and continuously improve Patelco’s reputation management program (monitoring, playbooks, escalation paths, and readiness), and support issues management and crisis communications in partnership with Risk, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and PR agency partners, as needed 
  • Communicate effectively and present recommendations, performance, and insights to executive leadership; influence decisions and drive alignment across senior stakeholders 
  • Develop insights from marketing research, data analytics and marketing analytics and incorporate into marketing strategy and tactics.  
  • Participate in idea exploration with team members to facilitate development of innovation.
