Role Summary:
As Legal Operations & Law Firm Relationship Management Analyst, you will support the Legal department’s ability to oversee and manage its global law firm relationships, including the management and optimization of CPP Investments’ e-billing platform and related legal technology solutions. Reporting to a Director, Legal Advisory & Governance, you will provide independent system administration, user support, reporting and analytics, and legal operations expertise to help drive efficiency, improve legal spend management, and enhance forecasting and predictability across the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing evolution of how CPP Investments’ manages and tracks its global law firm relationship, including through the use of AI technologies.CPP Investments' Legal department partners across the organization to provide strategic legal advice, regulatory guidance and governance support that enables informed decision-making and helps protect the organization's long-term interests. Your role directly supports the efficient and cost effective delivery of these legal services, including through process improvement, technology enablement, vendor management and operational oversight, working collaboratively with legal professionals, business partners and external service providers.

Maintain ownership of the e-billing platform, including system configuration, administration, invoice workflow, user support and training.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external law firms regarding e-billing processes, invoice submissions, invoice status updates and billing-related inquiries.
Review billing data and submissions, develop reporting and analytics, and support legal spend management, forecasting and predictability.
Analyze invoice rejections and reductions, resolve issues, and coordinate billing revisions or adjustments through the e-billing platform.
Provide administrative support related to law firm billing management, vendor setup activities, banking information requests and other billing-related matters.
Support the development and implementation of the legal technology roadmap, including e-billing and related matter management initiatives.
Partner with internal teams to define project scope, manage deliverables, support change management activities and communicate progress on legal technology initiatives.
Support the ongoing evolution of CPP Investments' global law firm relationships, including contributing to firm performance tracking, relationship reviews, and metrics that inform how the organization engages with external legal counsel
Provide overflow administrative and coordination support to the team on an as-needed basis, including calendar management, travel coordination, meeting and event logistics, and other operational tasks
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience in legal operations, e-billing, accounts payable, vendor management or a related function.
Experience supporting legal e-billing platforms, matter management systems and/or other legal technology platforms.
Strong analytical skills with experience producing reports, dashboards or spend analysis to support business decision-making.
Proficiency with Excel and data analytics or visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
Demonstrated ability to manage system administration responsibilities, troubleshoot issues and support end users.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal partners and external law firms.
