Baton Rouge, LA  | Full-Time

At LEMOINE, we don't just offer benefits-we invest in people. As a certified Great Place to Work, our culture is built on trust, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to supporting our teams both professionally and personally.

We're looking for a Benefits Manager who's ready to take ownership of our  benefits function, elevate the employee experience, and help us continue building a workplace where people thrive.

What You'll Do

You'll step into a highly visible, high-impact role-owning the full lifecycle of our U.S. benefits and leave programs in a self-insured environment.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Benefits & Employee Experience: Lead administration of health and welfare programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, retirement, and voluntary benefits) and serve as the go-to resource for employees
  • Leave Management: Oversee FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability, workers' comp, and multi-state leave programs end-to-end
  • Vendor & Financial Management: Partner with our carriers, TPAs, and broker to manage renewals, service delivery, and benefits spend accuracy
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance across ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and related requirements; coordinate 5500 filings and audits with outside providers.
  • Open Enrollment: Own the full cycle-from strategy and setup to employee education and execution
  • Process & Systems (Where You'll Make a Difference):
    • Build scalable processes that improve service delivery and reduce risk
    • Drive process improvements across benefits administration and leave programs
    • Optimize workflows within HR systems and vendor platforms
    • Strengthen data integrity, automation, and reporting capabilities
  • Data & Strategy: Use analytics to inform plan design, manage costs, and improve outcomes for employees

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (HR, Business, or related field)
  • 3–5 years of significant benefits experience, including self-insured plans
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and Section 125
  • Experience leading open enrollment, audits, and vendor relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and build trust with employees

Preferred:

  • Masters degree (HR, Business, or related field)
  • CEBS, CBP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification

Why LEMOINE

  • Great Place to Work Certified - our culture is more than a label; it's how we operate every day
  • Opportunity to improve and evolve a critical function
  • A team environment that values continuous improvement, accountability, and relationships
  • The chance to make a tangible impact on how we support and care for our employees

Ready to make an impact?

If you're looking for a role where you can improve and truly influence the employee experience-we'd love to connect.
