Benefits Manager

What You'll Do
You'll step into a highly visible, high-impact role-owning the full lifecycle of our U.S. benefits and leave programs in a self-insured environment.
Key areas of focus include:
- Benefits & Employee Experience: Lead administration of health and welfare programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, retirement, and voluntary benefits) and serve as the go-to resource for employees
- Leave Management: Oversee FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability, workers' comp, and multi-state leave programs end-to-end
- Vendor & Financial Management: Partner with our carriers, TPAs, and broker to manage renewals, service delivery, and benefits spend accuracy
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance across ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and related requirements; coordinate 5500 filings and audits with outside providers.
- Open Enrollment: Own the full cycle-from strategy and setup to employee education and execution
- Process & Systems (Where You'll Make a Difference):
- Build scalable processes that improve service delivery and reduce risk
- Drive process improvements across benefits administration and leave programs
- Optimize workflows within HR systems and vendor platforms
- Strengthen data integrity, automation, and reporting capabilities
- Data & Strategy: Use analytics to inform plan design, manage costs, and improve outcomes for employees
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree (HR, Business, or related field)
- 3–5 years of significant benefits experience, including self-insured plans
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and Section 125
- Experience leading open enrollment, audits, and vendor relationships
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and build trust with employees
Preferred:
- Masters degree (HR, Business, or related field)
- CEBS, CBP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification
