Your workplace will be the research laboratories which are part of the Innovation Centre of Arla Foods Ingredients in Nr. Vium. Your colleagues are world class researchers and technicians that are highly experienced in milk and whey protein biochemistry and physics, process technologies and related analytics. Together with your colleagues, you will drive research that will result in the development of new milk-based ingredients and deliver powerful nutrition for the world.

How you will make an impact
As a laboratory technician in our Product Discovery team, you will work with all aspects of dairy protein science. You will collaborate with scientists to support the ideation and new product development activities for the business. You will provide the data and knowledge to support our ideas and enable us to make decisions about new processes and possibilities.
Some of your key day to day responsibilities will include;
- Partnering with scientists to coordinate and plan experiments in the research laboratories
- Writing protocols, performing experiments, analyzing data and concluding on results
- Maintaining stocks of laboratory supplies and ensuring that equipment is functional including equipment calibrations and coordination of maintenance
- Developing and introducing new methods, processes and equipment
What will make you successful
You are educated as a laboratory technician with experience from similar positions in the industry or from academic positions. Preferably, you have worked with protein functionality, rheology and methods related to yoghurts. Part of the job will be to develop and validate methods to mimic yoghurt production processes.
As a person, you are collaborative, and it comes naturally to you to share knowledge and discuss ideas and problems with your colleagues. You are proactive in building positive relations even across teams, and you will contribute to the positive and motivated environment of the team. The job will require you to work with many different technologies and projects, and we expect that you thrive while learning about new equipment and new methods.
