Job Description

Who we are
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ about 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.

Role description
As a Senior Analyst, Business Transformation, you will play a key role in delivering strategic transformation initiatives for Doane Grant Thornton that drive operational excellence, process innovation, and strategic growth. We are looking for a driven individual – someone who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about making meaningful change – to be a part of a high impact team that designs and delivers transformations to create value for our clients and colleagues.

As part of your role, you will translate ambiguous inputs into structured, high‑quality outputs, lead portions of workshops and stakeholder interactions to capture business needs and apply sound judgment to progress work while escalating risks and decisions appropriately.

As a Senior Analyst, Business Transformation your responsibilities will include:
• Leading current state assessment of business processes to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement, including those enabled by AI or other technology.
• Facilitating stakeholder meetings to understand business needs and translate inputs into clear, structured outputs.
• Identifying changes impacts and develop impact assessments, process maps and future-state overviews.
• Leading data collection and build analyses/dashboards to support adoption monitoring, KPI tracking, and benefits realization. These analyses should support practical recommendations.
• Communicating clearly with stakeholders on process changes, adoption expectations, and performance measures. Build credibility with business partners and act as a trusted member of the team.
• Troubleshooting issues within scope, resolving independently where appropriate and escalating when risks or dependencies emerge.
• Contributing to a collaborative team culture that encourages productivity, knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Doane Grant Thornton
If you’re a bit like us, you’re driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking. Here we walk in others shoes before taking action. Just imagine being part of a team that puts “we before me”, where flexAbility is a mindset, and where you trust your colleagues to have your back. At Doane Grant Thornton, you’ll work with inspiring leaders who support your development, both personally and professionally. This is a place where your insatiable curiosity enables you to think, see and hear from a variety of perspectives, a place where every day is different and having the courage to grow is part of who you are. And when all this comes together, well that’s when the magic happens!
