Club Manager (Chirnside Park)

Lead the growth, performance and community of a newly established fitness club

We’re looking for a driven Club Manager to lead our Chirnside Park fitness community.

Located in Melbourne’s outer east at the gateway to the Yarra Valley, Chirnside Park is a growing community surrounded by Lilydale, Mooroolbark and the wider eastern suburbs. This club has strong local connections, a loyal member base and exciting opportunities for continued growth.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that great club management is about more than fitness, it’s about sales performance, leadership, member experience, community engagement and creating a high-performing team culture.

About the role

As Club Manager, you will take ownership of the overall success of the club.

You will be responsible for driving business performance while creating an environment where members love to train and the team loves to work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving membership growth through sales activity, lead management and conversion
• Managing daily sales processes including outbound calls, appointments, tours and follow-ups
• Delivering monthly sales targets, KPIs and business performance outcomes
• Leading, coaching and developing your club team
• Creating a positive, accountable and high-energy team culture
• Supporting and growing the Personal Training department
• Building local community partnerships and driving local area marketing initiatives
• Improving member engagement, experience and retention
• Managing club operations, presentation, compliance and administration

This is a hands-on leadership position, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, talking to members, developing their team and actively driving the club forward.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced operator with proven success in a membership-based, sales-driven environment.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Previous Club Manager, Assistant Club Manager or senior leadership experience within fitness, health, wellness or a similar membership-based business
• Proven experience achieving sales targets and KPIs
• Confidence managing a sales pipeline, leads and member conversion
• Experience leading and motivating a team
• The ability to coach, train and hold people accountable
• Strong commercial understanding and ability to make decisions that grow the business
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for health, fitness and helping people achieve their goals

Experience working within a 24/7 fitness club, franchise environment or high-volume membership business will be highly regarded.

Hours & commitment

This is a full-time leadership role within a staffed 24/7 fitness facility.

We’re looking for a leader who understands the importance of being present during peak sales, team and member engagement periods.

The standard roster is approximately:

• Monday – Thursday: 10:30am – 7:00pm
• Friday: 9:30am – 4:00pm

Occasional Saturday coverage may be required:

• Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm

Saturday shifts would only occur when required, such as casual team availability, events or key club needs, with roster flexibility provided.
