Key Responsibilities
- To provide a point of communication with customer representatives during day-to-day operations and incident escalation.
- To monitor compliance to SLA deliverables to the client areas within the Data Centre, and action accordingly to ensure compliance.
- Management of Contractors PPMs and Service Repairs on Critical Data Centre Systems, all associated administrative duties.
- Read, review, and amend Data Centre Electrical / Mechanical system drawings.
- Perform and Manage BMS monitoring and carry out primary response to Critical & Non-Critical Alarms. Must assist engineer’s performance of alarm diagnostic, generate RCA escalate, instigate repairs and process accordingly when they occur.
- Monitor and Perform Customer requests and escalate when required as per escalation procedure.
- Review, Dry-Run and Modify CyrusOne MOP’s, EOP’s and SOP’s to reduce Human Error and ensure 100% uptime of the site.
- Must maintain a minimum of HVAP Status and relevant qualifications whilst in the role, perform switching on occasion and cover out of hours support when customer contracts dictate.
- Review and assign Reactive / Remedial works as raised on ticketing system on all Critical Equipment and building infrastructure.
- Provide onsite cover for DCM during holidays or sickness.
- Provide Technical responses to Field Service bulletins from customers or equipment manufacturers.
Equipment and building infrastructure to engineering team
- Ensure that RFCs are carried out following Change Management Process. Review of sub-contractors’ RAMS, competency records, and company QHSE requirements prior to PTW/ATW and customer QHSE control procedures.
- Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required. Including raising and escalating of hazards when raised by staff.
Accountabilities
- Accountable to Data Centre Manager.
- This post holder does not have any directly reporting staff however the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the 3rd party maintenance company and ensuring compliance to CyrusOne Policies and Procedures.
- This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility.
Education
- Recognised formal Electrical or Mechanical training
- Knowledge of operation of critical building infrastructure (e.g., electrical, mechanical and fabric)
Training
- Experience working in Data Center Operations.
- Experience with BMS and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems.
- Knowledge of Capacity Management.
- Experience with Change Management and Incident Management Process.
- Team working.
- Leadership skills.
- Management and the undertaking of multi-discipline engineering tasks.
Experience
(Essential)
- Strong written, verbal & PC communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Knowledge of Microsoft business applications (word, excel ETC).
- Ability to prioritise work tasks according to criticality.

Circumstances
- Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
- Must be willing to be part of an OOH callout rota to support the data centre during emergencies or planned shut downs during nights or weekends.
- Work and travel between European Facilities for training as required.
- Suitable candidate shall consent to a Background Check compliant with LOPDGDD and GDPR.
