Senior Lead Designer (BIM Coordinator)

Job Description

Overview

The BIM Coordinator supports project delivery by guiding teams on BIM standards, protocols, and tools while ensuring effective information management. The role involves assisting in coordination activities such as clash detection, improving workflows, and promoting best practices in design and data standards. The ideal candidate has up to 5 years of BIM experience, strong technical and communication skills, and a solid understanding of construction documentation and digital engineering processes.

Your role

• Guide and train project teams on BIM procedures and protocols
• Support BIM tools used on projects
• Provide support as an Information Manager on projects
• Assist in implementing BIM protocols and procedures on assigned projects
• Participate in clash coordination with the full design team
• Support the development of optimal solutions to improve workflows and project delivery
• Guide the design team in the use of AtkinsRéalis Data Standards

About you

• Post-secondary program, certification, or equivalent experience
• 10 to 12 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in the use of BIM
• Working knowledge of construction documentation preparation
• Excellent computer and communication skills
• Strong combination of technical and interpersonal skills
