What you’ll do:
This role is responsible for driving product and process quality, supporting customer satisfaction, improving supplier quality performance, and ensuring compliance with quality systems and standards. The successful candidate will partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Customer teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
This position is ideal for quality professionals with experience in automotive precision assembly environments and a solid understanding of quality tools, customer quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Operations
Drive product and process quality improvements across manufacturing operations.
Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems and standards.
Monitor quality performance indicators and lead corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in quality planning activities including APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans and other quality methodologies.
Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with customer and industry requirements. - Supplier Quality
Collaborate with suppliers to improve incoming material quality and supplier performance.
Participate in supplier quality issue resolution and corrective action activities.
Support supplier audits and supplier development initiatives. - Customer Quality
Investigate customer quality concerns and lead root cause analysis activities.
Drive effective corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.
Support customer quality reviews and customer-facing quality activities when required. - Manufacturing Quality & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to solve manufacturing and assembly quality issues.
Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma and problem-solving methodologies.
Support process audits, quality reviews and operational excellence initiatives. - Team Development
Coach and develop quality engineers and quality team members.
Foster a culture of quality ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- More than 10 years experience in automotive manufacturing or automotive Tier-1 suppliers, experience in precision assembly manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Experience with products such as:
- Transmission systems
- Small motors
- Sensors
- Automotive electronic modules
- Precision mechanical assemblies - Significant knowledge and understanding of Automotive quality systems including ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.1, Industry, and customer specific requirements.
- The knowledge of a wide range of problem-solving tools & methods, including statistics, combined with the ability to select & apply them to make data based decisions to sustain higher levels of process or product quality (CQE or Six Sigma Certification preferred)
Eaton announced, on June 11, 20206, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027.
