Purpose / Role Overview
The Subsea Sourcing Lead is responsible for leading complex sourcing and contracting activities across all subsea scopes and regions, supporting both project delivery and operational needs.
This is an individual contributor role with strong leadership expectations, where the incumbent will own and lead a portfolio end-to-end (from demand planning through to contract closeout), delivering strong commercial outcomes while working closely with global partners, suppliers, and Subsea category team.
The role requires a sourcing professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who drives value creation through innovation, strong commercial thinking, and continuous improvement!
Key Accountabilities
1. Portfolio Ownership & Delivery
Own and deliver a portfolio of subsea sourcing activities across regions and scopes, including:
Subsea vessels (IMR, construction, installation, survey)
ROV services
Subsea hardware/equipment
Aftermarket / Life of Field (LoF) services
Lead sourcing execution end-to-end from demand planning through to contract closeout.
Operate across both:
Category-aligned scopes (global agreements, strategic sourcing)
Regional execution (project and operational demand)
2. Commercial & Contracting Leadership
Work closely with Subsea Category team and Business partners to develop and implement regional sourcing strategies.
3. Stakeholder Leadership (Individual Contributor)
Lead sourcing workstreams and drive outcomes without formal authority across global, cross-functional teams.
Ensure alignment between Business demand and sourcing strategy execution.
4. Supplier Engagement & Management
Lead supplier engagement, evaluation, and selection across assigned scopes.
Support strategic supplier relationships in collaboration with Category Management.
Proactively handle supplier-related commercial risks and issues.
5. Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with sourcing and contracting requirements (global and regional).
Identify, assess, and handle commercial and contractual risks across sourcing activities.
Maintain robust documentation and ensure adherence to governance standards.
6. Innovation, Continuous Improvement & Value Creation
Drive innovation in sourcing approaches, commercial models, and supplier engagement.
Apply an ambitious attitude to challenge existing ways of working and unlock value.
See opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes across sourcing activities.
Contribute to broader team capability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Experience & Requirements
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in sourcing/procurement within subsea environment or upstream oil & gas.
Proven ability to operate across multiple subsea scopes (all-rounder profile)
Strong experience in complex commercial negotiations and contract management
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority
Experience driving innovation and/or continuous improvement
- Open to working a 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM schedule
