
Director, Sales - Caribbean (HYBRID) | DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Job Description
PURPOSE:
Responsible for presenting and selling Company products and services to existing and new customers, acting as point of contact with customers, partners and achieving sales targets and goals. Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering and understanding customer needs. Responsible for identifying business opportunities within the assigned territory, building, maintaining and negotiating to close a sales pipeline to meet sales goals. Responsible for overseeing sales operations across all Caribbean Spanish- and English-speaking countries in which PTI has a presence.
FUNCTIONS:
- Identify new business opportunities by leveraging contacts, research, prospecting, meetings, and presentations.
- Actively market existing and projected PTI assets to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and other prospective telecommunication operators within the established territory.
- Prospect new clients, create proposals, presentations, and collateral related to the development of clients and businesses within the assigned territory.
- Develop and nurture customer relationships by identifying requirements and anticipating and resolving problems. Attend development meetings for operations plans.
- Identify and follow through on any new build opportunities with customers. Coordinate initial site acquisition activities, provide data for decision-making, close deals, and manage the process.
- Monitor and communicate metrics using tracking tools and reports, including weekly sales activity updates and forecasts.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Organize customer satisfaction surveys, present results, and ensure follow-up action plans.
- Gather industry and field information for positive use in pricing, acquisitions, forecasts, and other business activities.
- Initiate and coordinate the collocation application process with customers, including negotiating and finalizing tenant leases.
- Work closely with the Lease Administrator to complete the collocation process through final site inspection for each project.
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other PTI departments.
- Manage the Funnel and Pipeline, providing regional sales forecasts.
- Serve existing customers to create long-term business relationships and keep accounts up to date.
- Develop and implement a commercial strategic plan to achieve budgetary goals.
- Present sales, revenue, and expense reports, along with realistic forecasts, to the management team.
- Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers to develop a strategic plan for overall sales success.
- Manage existing sales team in the market in the Caribbean
- Together with local sales , define and monitor implementation of the sales strategy in the Caribbean
- Focus in developing and achieve sales targets in the Dominican republic market

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position works in a standard office environment. Standing, sitting, and walking required daily. Position will involve travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or similar field, MBA a plus.
- 10 years related industry and sales experience with a strong track record of success
- Experience managing a sales team
- Tower, infrastructure or telecom related industry experience is highly preferred.
- Results oriented, diligent, persistent, self-motivated and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of real estate, property management, zoning, and construction.
- Experience negotiating long-term contracts, building and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Contacts in the field of telecommunications with knowledge of the market and customers a plus.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multitask, project management skills a plus.
- Disciplined, organized, and thorough individual who is a self-starter.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills at management level
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.

- Spanish and English proficiency is required.
