Position Summary
As the Distribution Center Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the daily operations of our Distribution Center. You’ll lead a high-performing team to ensure efficient material flow, from receiving and storing inventory to accurate order fulfillment and timely shipping. Responsibilities
- Oversee all distribution center functions including receiving, picking, shipping, loading, product allocation, inventory control, and transportation.
- Directly manage and support distribution team members to ensure performance goals are met.
- Optimize labor resources and supply usage to remain within budget, adjusting schedules and shifts as needed to meet operational demands.
- Oversee the procurement, utilization, and maintenance of equipment and assets; collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely upgrades and repairs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and continuous development programs to foster a skilled and motivated team.
- Manage all aspects of employee performance including evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary.
- Partner with the safety team to conduct training, workplace observations, safety audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment that consistently meets or exceeds operational standards.
- Develop and manage staff schedules and work assignments to ensure effective coverage and workload balance.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to the Director of Distribution.
- Analyze operational challenges, propose solutions, and collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of high accuracy, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Warehouse, Distribution, or Supply Chain operations required.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience are strongly preferred.
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
