Supervisor Production SLZ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a team of production workers in day-to-day manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, on-time order delivery, and continuous improvements
• Ensure all safety rules, regulations, and programs are followed by production staff; audit and address all departmental safety hazards, equipment and guarding malfunctions, and personal safety violations
• Monitor production schedules and customer demands to ensure accurate and timely order completion; respond to order deviations, schedule adjustments, set-up planning, equipment downtime, etc., with a sense of urgency
• Drive standardized work as applicable to assigned area
• Employ Lean and Six Sigma concepts and practices; conduct Kaizen events; drive 5S activities and visual management
• Support Quality Control circle activities; participate in corrective action/root cause events
• Train staff on new and existing work assignments, machinery, tools, and processes consistent with the organization’s quality systems and documented standard work
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on standard KPIs (schedule attainment, OEE, productivity, production volumes, on-time delivery, downtime, headcount, etc.), payroll approvals, safety, and continuous improvement projects

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or relative experience
•  One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; supervisory experience preferred
• Strong emphasis on state and local safety regulations, safety compliance, and training · Experience in leading Lean/Kaizen activities strongly preferred · Work experience in TPS/or similar environment a plus · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency · Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
