Salary: $73,000 with licensed $78,000

Position Summary
The Assessor is a masters prepared counselor, licensed or unlicensed under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The Clinical Assessor works as a part of the collaborative care team of healthcare professionals led by a Department of Health primary care provider to support adults with mental health and substance use disorders served in the medical home and assessed and determined to be in need of and will benefit from a low intensity level of care as determined by the LOCUS. The assessor provides comprehensive behavioral health assessments for adults by completing the Level of Care Utilization System of Psychiatric and Addiction Services Adult Version 20 in conjunction with other agreed upon assessment tools in order to assess treatment and other needs, determine appropriate levels of care and diagnosis to establish medical necessity. This includes diagnosing and assessing needs related to social determinants of health, crisis stabilization and prevention services. This position is located at the DOH Medical Homes and reports to the Clinical Director.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's Degree in Human Services required, in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy a plus.
- Licensed or Registered Intern, preferred.
- At least two years' experience with a psychiatric population of clients is preferred.
