What's The Role
The Senior HR Generalist/People Business Advisor serves as a strategic advisor and hands-on HR generalist, partnering directly with Country Managers in to drive meaningful people outcomes across the organization of the Winward islands (Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Grenada). This role spans the full HR lifecycle — from guiding talent acquisition and onboarding through employee relations, engagement, learning and development, and offboarding — requiring a professional who can seamlessly move between operational HR delivery and strategic business partnering. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of workforce dynamics, a data-informed mindset, and the interpersonal skill to build trust at every level of the organization.
We are open to candidates from across Winward Islands (Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Grenada).
What You'll Do
Labor Relations & Compliance
- Advise managers on labor law compliance, collective bargaining obligations, and workplace regulations.
- Support grievance and disciplinary processes in line with organizational policy and applicable legislation.
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively recommend policy updates to maintain compliance.
Employee Relations
- ● Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters including conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and performance management.
● Coach managers on handling sensitive workplace issues with fairness, consistency, and sound judgment.
● Promote a positive, inclusive work environment where employees feel heard and valued.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- ● Promote employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and drive action plans that move the needle on engagement scores.
● Champion initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, belonging, and retention.
● Partner with leaders to improve team dynamics, morale, and overall employee experience.
Learning & Development
- ● Identify skills gaps through workforce analysis and recommend targeted training and development solutions.
● Support leadership development programs and succession planning to build a strong internal talent pipeline.
● Coordinate onboarding programs that accelerate new-hire productivity and cultural integration.
Data Analytics & People Insights
- ● Leverage HR data and analytics to surface workforce trends, risks, and opportunities that inform business decisions.
● Build dashboards and reports on key people metrics including turnover, engagement, headcount, and absenteeism.
● Translate data into actionable recommendations and compelling narratives for business leaders.
Reward & Benefits
- ● Support compensation benchmarking, salary review cycles, and benefits administration to ensure market competitiveness.
● Advise managers on reward decisions that are equitable, transparent, and aligned with organizational philosophy.
● Contribute to the design of recognition and total rewards programs that attract and retain top talent.
General HR Operations
- ● Manage day-to-day HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS maintenance.
● Ensure HR policies and procedures are current, clearly communicated, and consistently applied across the organization.
● Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Total Rewards) to deliver integrated, end-to-end people solutions
Knowledge & Experience
Education
- Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
Experience
- 5–7 years in a similar HR role
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle management
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trust with employees and management
- Experience with HRIS systems and data management
- Knowledge of local labor law and union relations (preferred)
- Proactive and project management skills
- Computer literate
