Heavy Equipment Operator – Parks
Job Description
Do You Love Operating Heavy Equipment to Keep Fort Wayne Parks Safe and Beautiful?
What You'll Do
-
Operate bulldozers, backhoes, dump trucks, trenchers, graders, and other heavy equipment for park maintenance and repairs

Perform grading, landscaping, drainage, and snow-removal tasks across City parks and facilities

Maintain safe play surfaces, repair roads and sewers, and complete athletic field renovations

Conduct basic equipment servicing and assist with training crew members
Must-Have Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
-
5+ years' experience operating heavy equipment (dozers, graders, backhoes, etc.)

Valid Indiana Driver's License; ability to obtain CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement within one year of hire
