Afternoon Primary Teacher 14:00-18:00 (2026-2027)
Job Description
The Island Private School of Limassol in Cyprus is seeking a competent and experienced Afternoon Facilitator to join our primary team for the 2026-2027 academic year.
As we grow, we are in the process of planning our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m2 site, that will include kindergartens, elementary and high schools, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. Working hours: Monday to Friday/14:00-18:00.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementation of enrichment, health, and recreational extra-curricular learning experiences for students.
- Facilitate outside students’ playing and support children in personal hygiene and wellbeing routines.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Extracurricular Coordinator.
- Maintain confidentiality about children’s learning, development and care at all times.
- Monitor and ensure that students follow established routines and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members (class teachers and co-teachers) to ensure a seamless transition between activities and programs.
- Assist students to find correct activity club.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.
- Follow all relevant policies and procedures regarding safety, child protection, and health and safety.
- Following essential Classroom agreements with the members of the class-team (that includes homeroom teacher, co-teacher and afternoon co-teacher).
- Substitution hours of team members (assistants) according to team’s needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in working with children (e.g summer camps, afternoon schools etc.)
- English Intermediate at least and international mindedness.
- Compassionate and attentive to students; knows how children learn and can support their learning.
