Associate Evidence Strategy Director
Job Description
Trials gets a medicine approved. It is not enough to get it to patients.
Between approval and a clinician prescribing sits a different kind of proof: what the medicine does in the real world, what it's worth, and does it hold up under scrutiny. Building that proof, and making people act on it, is what this role is for.
You'll own the evidence that lives beyond the RCTs for selected Obesity products. Real-world dynamics, claims & EHR, patient preferences are needed across life cycle to create one credible story.
Your new role
You own the Therapy Area Evidence Plans (TA EPs), including the asset-specific chapters that carry our scientific story and the value behind each product. You'll work globally, aligning HQ, International Operations, US Operations, regions and affiliates around one evidence agenda, with obesity at the centre.
Day to day, you'll:
- Drive your TA Evidence Plans so they match the Therapy Area Strategy, Target Product Profile and our global business and medical priorities
- Turn strategy, stakeholder insight and value messages into concrete evidence plans and the research questions that actually matter to costumers, HCPs, payers and policymakers
- Partner with the Evidence Synthesis lead and counterparts at every level to put internal and external evidence to work, from pre-launch through lifecycle management
- Act as the scientific authority on quality, credibility and compliance, including GPP, clinical guidelines and Novo Nordisk SOPs
- Work across Global Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, International Operations and US Operations to get evidence planned and executed on time
- Represent Global Medical Affairs in the field, in scientific exchange with key opinion leaders, expert groups and HCP communities
- Step in for the Director, TA Evidence Head when needed, and contribute to cross-area work that keeps evidence priorities aligned
Your new department
Product & Portfolio Strategy runs commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across every therapy area. Think of us as the connector and the compass for the Novo Nordisk portfolio.
You'll sit on the TA Evidence team, inside the Evidence & Partnerships VP area in Global Medical Affairs. It's a global team where strategic thinking meets scientific rigour, and where the evidence you plan ends up informing decisions that reach patients worldwide.
Expect roughly 10 to 20% travel a year for congresses, programme events and affiliate meetings.
Your skills & qualifications
You're strategic, you take the lead, and you bring real scientific weight to conversations with senior people. You're at home in a complex, matrixed organisation and you will bring:
- A PhD and/or Master's in a health-related field (Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, Clinical Epidemiology or similar), with fluent written and spoken English.
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3-5 years in pharma with focus on commercial or medical strategies
- Strong command of healthcare big data (claims, EHR, registries, PROs), and how to use it in evidence planning, study design and interpretation for payer and clinical decisions
- Sharp networking, presentation and collaboration skills, and the credibility to influence and negotiate with senior people inside and outside the company
- High integrity, strong ethics, a growth mindset and genuine cross-cultural awareness
