Job Description

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join us at Telia!

I’m Santtu Päivärinta, Head of Quality and Automation, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on enabling faster, safer releases through pragmatic QA and reusable automation.

What you’ll do:

You’ll support a product team in improving testing practices, moving from mainly manual UI testing towards more structured and automated ways of working.

• Perform and develop UI testing (manual + increasing automation) for web applications;

• Design and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories;

• Work closely with developers to ensure quality throughout development;

• Improve and evolve testing practices, contributing to automation (Playwright) and shift-left ways of working.

What will help you thrive in this role:

You take ownership, are proactive in suggesting improvements, and are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where testing needs can be reactive.

• Experience in UI / web testing, including test design and execution;

• Experience with Jira, Xray or similar tools, and basic understanding of web technologies (JS/TS);

• Experience in test automation and CI/CD practices;

• Ability to work independently, collaborate closely with developers, and leverage modern tools (including AI) to improve testing efficiency.
