About the Position
Are you a strategic and commercially driven leader ready to shape market success across SPA? We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Market President to take full ownership of market performance, drive growth, and lead high-performing teams in a dynamic, global environment and strong local market business acumen. In this position you will lead the overall operational and commercial activities, and the sales results of Höganäs Taiwan and market SPA. You will belong to Höganäs' Extended Group Management Team and work closely with senior leadership to strengthen customer relationships, drive growth, and identify new business opportunities across your market.
About the position
As Market President for SPA, you will be accountable for the overall market plan, sales execution, and financial performance across the region. You will play a pivotal role in translating global strategies into impactful local execution while ensuring sustainable growth and strong customer partnerships.
Key responsibilities
Own and deliver the SPA market plan, including full responsibility for sales and financial performance
Implement and execute the Sales Strategy in alignment with global division strategies and in line with Höganäs ambitious climate roadmap and strategy for sustainability.
Drive continuous business development and strengthen overall sales performance
Deliver top-line growth targets as defined in the 3-Year Business Plan (3YBP) for each division
Build and communicate robust market intelligence, competitive insights, and sales analysis
Monitor market trends, provide outlooks, and recommend strategic actions to relevant divisions
Optimize sales resources to improve efficiency while protecting long-term market position
Foster strong collaboration across global, regional, and local teams
Ensure best-in-class customer service, satisfaction, and quality standards
Lead value-based solution selling and engage effectively at C-level
Execute go-to-market strategies, expand market coverage, and grow the sales funnel
Design, implement, and manage sales programs aligned with policies and trade regulations
Drive a systems- and tools-based approach to sales (e.g., CRM platforms)
Lead, develop, and retain top talent across the region
Execute performance management processes and support employee development
You will lead the Sales and Business Development teams to develop existing businesses by understanding customer needs and proactively identifying sales opportunities with a value based mindset. Furthermore, in collaboration with relevant Divisions you will support on identifying new business opportunities in the SPA market. You have the full P&L responsibility of Höganäs Taiwan and are responsible to ensure alignment with Höganäs’ global vision, core values, strategies and performance targets.
Amongst others, one of the main responsibilities includes making sure that Höganäs Taiwan follows local laws and regulations besides the global policies of Höganäs, maintaining proper financial controls and represent the organization in various business-related forums internally and externally.
Other key responsibilities in this role will be to:
Act as the executive face of the company for all SPA customers and government/industry stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze market-specific trends, share insights with relevant divisions, and propose strategies to optimize market opportunities.
Support the Market Division Managers to translate the divisional global strategies into relevant market strategies and execution.
Lead and develop the team in Taiwan and create a culture of safety first and continuous improvement with the right processes in place.
Foster an environment for young talents to develop skills, and enable sustainable growth of business, organization and people.
This position is located in Taipei, Taiwan and reports to the Division President Powder Metallurgy Technologies (PMT). The position will entail travelling primarily within the SPA region and occasional international travel for Divisional/Extended Group Management team meetings. Amount of travel is estimated to be around 30%.
Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with global, regional and in-country teams to foster strong relationships and team spirit, ensuring the long-term success of the divisions you serve.
About you
We are looking for a highly qualified individual with a university degree in business administration or a related field. Ideally, you will have an engineering background to complement your strong business acumen. A solid understanding of key industry sectors, such as Automotive and e-mobility, energy and thermal management and processing industry will be highly valued.
You should have at least 5-10 years of general management experience, ideally as a member of a management team and with experience of working within a matrix organizational structure. Experience in multicultural or cross-cultural environments is a plus, as is a global business perspective.
Fluency in English is required, and Mandarin is considered an advantage. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
In addition to these qualifications, we are seeking someone with strong strategic thinking skills, able to drive current business performance results while contributing to the overall transformation of Höganäs. You will be capable of making the strategy happen, with a focus on agility and resilience to deliver business results.
Your customer focus will center on creating value-added solutions for customers, building strong partnerships with empathy, and understanding both local needs and global platforms. You will contribute to Höganäs' growth by offering valuable local insights.
