Job Description
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926
• Utilizes the hierarchy of controls methodology as a means to best implement feasible and effective control solutions
• Responsible for identifying and mitigating hazardous conditions that affect workers, property, the environment, and the general public
• Incorporates conventional safety and health practices and a variety of complex features into problem solving and programmatic planning
• Observes facility or project operations while ensuring that all employees and subcontractors are performing work in compliance with governing work documents
•Investigates, prepares, and forwards reports on workplace illnesses and injuries
• Anticipates, evaluates and controls occupational hazards in the workplace through job scope reviews, walk downs, and general observations
• Utilizes comprehensive experience to develop, implement and maintain safety and health programs, systems and procedures
• Prepares and reviews written programs, job hazard analyses, personal protective equipment assessments and other health and safety program elements
• Serves as a resource for line management to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for accidents and illness
