
Maintenance Technician - Plastic Injection Molding
Job Description
- This position will maintain production and facility equipment to include installation, set up, preventative maintenance, and adjustments required by technical service instructions.
- Safely troubleshoots, performs repairs, and executes all preventive maintenance tasks.
- Inspects and tests equipment to detect causes of malfunctions on hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatics.
- Capability of reading blueprints pertaining to hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, molding machines, and auxiliary equipment.
- Dismantle machinery and equipment to gain access and perform diagnoses.
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.
- Repair/replace hoses, wiring, valves, etc., reassembles and verifies proper function.
- Coordinate and schedule PM or repairs with production scheduler.
- Maintain, document, and constantly improve preventive/predictive maintenance functions.
- Maintains a high standard of housekeeping regarding work areas.
- Follow all safety precautions on equipment, machinery and tools repairs per OSHA and complete all tasks or assignments as requested.
- Willing to participate in continuing education programs and seminars.
- Responsibilities are not limited to only those listed above.
- Performs other related duties and job assignments as required.
- Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner.
- Prefer 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a plastic injection molding environment.
- Prefer hands on experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molding equipment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical.
- Experience in operating various hand tools and machining equipment.
- Continually demonstrates excellent time management skills, works extra hours as required to complete pending repairs.
- Need to possess basic tools to perform the job.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
- Ability to use hand tools.

Pay Range: $25 - $32 per hour
