Wage Range: Summer- $14.00/hour + tips

Position Summary:

Create consistent craft cocktails using house recipes for patrons and provide excellent service. Bartenders will provide food and drink service for bar patrons as well as make drinks for server’s patrons. Must be 21 years or older to apply. Previous craft bar experience is mandatory. This position will begin Mid-Late April and will continue through the Summer season with potential for a Winter position.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • Open bar, count till, open lock ups and thoroughly perform setup and prep work.
  • Responsible to inventory/stock product, change/move kegs/aligas, mix drinks, create cocktail specials, and provide a high level of guest service and entertainment.
  • Responsible for ensuring minimal waste by correct pour of all drinks.
  • ID guests in accordance with Idaho State liquor and identification laws, monitor guest intoxication and take action/get help, if necessary.
  • Close bar, thoroughly perform all closing/cleaning duties, prepare end of shift reports and turns in accurate deposits to central vault/auditor, lock up product and area.
  • Must pay attention to detail and help keep bar/restaurant presentable.
  • Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be punctual.
  • Will communicate to manager when bar inventory items are low.

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications-  Idaho TIPS or ABC training (may acquire on the job), Food Handlers permit, AllerTrain allergy certification

Technical- Utilize POS System                

Physical Capabilities- Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Required to lift over 25lbs frequently and over 50lbs occasionally.

Additional- Strong communication skills.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication; basic math

Minimum time in related position-  Two years mixed drink bartending with demonstrated competence
