Job Specifics and Requirements:

Area: San Antonio, TX

Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing TX State Pharmacist License

Education: Pharm. D.

Experience Needed: 1+ years of pharmacy experience

Pay: $65.00-$70.00 DOE

Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen

Part-Time Pharmacist

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness
• Process high-volume prescription requests efficiently while maintaining strict quality standards
• Conduct drug utilization reviews and identify potential drug interactions or contraindications
• Communicate with patients via phone to counsel on medication use, answer questions, and address concerns
• Collaborate with prescribers to resolve issues, clarify orders, and obtain prior authorizations
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations and company policies
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily mail order operations
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records in pharmacy systems
• Identify and resolve insurance billing issues and prior authorization requirements
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with medication procurement as needed
• Document all clinical interventions and patient interactions appropriately
